Diversifying Technology Enabled Care for the Future
The Future of Technology Enabled Care: Meeting Diverse Needs Today and Tomorrow
The world of technology enabled care (TEC) is rapidly evolving, providing new opportunities to support individuals with diverse needs across different care settings. However, it's crucial that we look beyond the current analogue to digital transition and adopt a forward-thinking approach to ensure our solutions are truly inclusive and sustainable in the long run.
This webinar will explore the importance of delivering TEC solutions that empower all service users, regardless of their specific needs or circumstances. We will delve into the unique requirements of different people, recognising that these needs are not static but will continually change over time.
As technology advances at an unprecedented pace, we have a remarkable opportunity to harness its power to tackle these evolving and varied needs and adapt to various care settings. We will examine real-world examples of how cutting-edge technologies are being leveraged to provide personalised and effective care solutions.
Moreover, our panellists will provide practical strategies for future-proofing TEC provision by adopting a proactive and adaptable approach, that ensures solutions remain relevant and impactful, without the need for constant reinvention every few years.
Join us as we explore the exciting future of TEC and discover how we can work together to create a sustainable, inclusive, and empowering care ecosystem that leaves no one behind.

Debra Edwards
Debra trained to be a midwife in her late thirties and was first introduced to technology during her training when she was diagnosed with dyslexia. Debra spent a lot of her career working with vulnerable women and teenage parents. In 2012 she had to stop working due to being diagnosed with Lupus and rheumatoid arthritis, becoming physically disabled and unable to continue practicing as a midwife. Debra moved into supported housing in 2020 where she was one of the youngest tenants and spent a lot of her time supporting older tenants who were not familiar with using technology. Debra is very passionate about helping and supporting others, especially older and disabled people, and says there is nothing more rewarding than helping others to have a voice in the management of their lives.
